Call (662) 627-3417 for more information. Following the giveaway they will close from August 30 through September 10 to restock with fall and winter clothing.
9:00AM 3:00PM Peanut Field Day MSU Extension Service will hold a Peanut Field Day on the farm of Mark and John Agostinelli. The farm is located on Monty Martin Road just off Highway 61 at the New Africa Road exit. Peanut experts will discuss weed, insect and disease problems in peanuts and harvest time for the crop. Refreshments will be served; call Don Respess (662) 624-3070 for more information.
1:00PM 3:00PM Farm to Fork produce distribution UnitedHealthcare and Alcorn State University Extension Program will provide FREE farm fresh vegetables to UnitedHealthcare MSCAN and CHIP members every Wednesday through September at the SLA Jones Activity Center, 500 Indiana Avenue in Clarksdale. Bring your UnitedHealthcare insurance card and receive a free bag of vegetables. non-members may purchase a bag for $5.00.
