Chuck Denver (9am-2pm)
Chuck is a 22-year broadcast professional with experience in all areas and formats. He spent 12 years at Oldies station KGOR-FM in Omaha, NE as a top rated Afternoon Drive host and Assistant Program Director. He was also an afternoon news anchor for KGORs sister station KFAB-AM. Chuck was also part of a start-up satellite Oldies network as Director of Affiliate Relations and an on-air announcer. He has worked in country, CHR-Top 40, oldies, classic rock and AC formats, and he loves all kinds of music and believes the listener comes first.
Carl Mann (2pm-7pm)
Carl is a natural for WROX, as he was a DJ playing all those great songs of the 60s 70s and 80s when they first came out. Carl's early radio career began at various stations in the Rocky Mountain states. After a tour in the Army he worked at widely-heard KOMA in Oklahoma City during its legendary Top 40 days. In the 70s he moved on to Omaha for mornings and middays at The Mighty 12-90 KOIL, followed by several years as Program Director for KCRG in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. After getting married in Iowa, he brought his family back to Omaha and worked in radio and television news for several years before joining WROX. Carl relaxes with interests in cooking, history, and films, and has a daughter and an adopted son.
Dave Swan (7pm-Midnight)
Dave was born in a barn in Brinkley, Arkansas, when his mom went into labor while milking the cows. Dave barely graduated high school, but has since mastered the art of counting to 21. In his spare time, Dave enjoys mud wrestling and housecat taxidermy. Dave’s future plans call for world domination and having his remains shot into space.
Scott Henderson (Midnight-5am)
By the time Scott Henderson was 11-years old; he knew he wanted to be on the radio; so it followed that his first job, just months after graduation, was in the mailroom of one of Detroit's three major AM-FM-TV companies owned by ABC. Within two years he was on the radio at another suburban Detroit radio station and he was on his way. During the following forty years, Scott's career took him to many towns and cities around the Midwest including legendary WIRL in Peoria, and KMBZ and KFKF in Kansas City. It was here where he honed his musician skills in a Kansas City-area Blues band in the 1980's. He later landed in Omaha at historic WOW radio. Scott still hammers-away on the Guitar and Keyboards in an in-home studio when not wreaking havoc on the air.
Joe Skare (5-6am)
Joe grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota listening to the top 40 powerhouses like KDWB and WDGY. Joe knew as early as junior high school age that radio was the line of work he wanted to pursue and feels lucky to have been able to do it for so long. Mostly working in the Midwest, Joe has done morning stints at the legendary KFMQ in Lincoln, Nebraska; KATT in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and back to Lincoln, where he spent several years as morning co-host on KTGL. Joe is married and has two children. Joe's interests are golf, softball, hiking, camping, playing the drums and anything to do with the Minnesota Twins or Vikings. |
